Kilmer Tórrez

Patients wrote in without knowing which therapy they needed. Now the site explains each therapy and drafts the consultation message based on what they feel.

Context

What it was

The website of Dr. Kilmer Tórrez, who practices natural medicine in Río Blanco and Managua.

For whom

People with pain, stress or other discomfort looking for acupuncture, moxibustion, lymphatic drainage, therapeutic massage or TENS, who book through WhatsApp.

Why it was made

To bring order to her practice: so the doctor has each patient's context before booking the appointment.

What I received

Photos of the doctor from two shoots, the logo as a PNG with no vector version, a social media piece listing the therapies, the WhatsApp number and visual references for palettes and sites.

The challenge

What had to be solved

Let someone who doesn't know which therapy they need describe what they feel and reach the doctor's WhatsApp with a clear message, without storing health data on any server.

The hardest part

The 3D body: anyone should be able to rotate it and mark the exact spot from their phone, and it should still work with a flat map if the phone doesn't support 3D.

Process

I started from the social media piece and the photos. I built a custom design system (olive, sage, acqua and solace; Urbanist and Figtree) and reviewed it with the doctor over 6 rounds of annotated screenshots. The therapy list from the first round became a photo carousel, and in round 4 she asked for light panels with blur.

Social media piece used to promote the practice
Starting point: the social media piece.
First version of the therapies section, as a list
Round 1: the therapies as a list.

The product

Therapy carousel with acupuncture open
Therapies in a carousel: each card explains the therapy and leads to booking it.
Consultation step with a 3D body and a spot marked on the chest
Consultation: the patient rotates a 3D body and marks where they feel discomfort.
Home and therapies on a phone
On mobile: the doctor first, and one therapy at a time.

My work

What I did

Experience and visual system design, structuring the copy the doctor provided, and building the site: Next.js exported as a static site for Cloudflare, with the body map in three.js.

Who with

With Dr. Kilmer Tórrez, who reviewed every round, and with Claude Code for development.

Result

What was delivered

A one-page site with 5 therapies and a step-by-step consultation that drafts the WhatsApp message along with a summary of the marked spots. It uses no database.
